I remember reading that in the english dub, the lady who did Excel's voice had to drop out around episode 12 or so, on the grounds that she was tearing her throat apart, trying to do Excel's insanely manic voice!

I've been saying this for quite a while now, even with regards for it's low, base ambitions, GX is a giant pile of fail.

I will say this; if the whole of 5Ds had been like the first 26 episodes, then it would have been a fine series in its own right, a decent contribution to the Yugioh franchise. Unfortunately, then they go on to the Dark Signer Arc, AKA DOMA 2.0, and it just goes downhill from there.
It really makes you wonder, doesn't it? What the world would be like if real life High School were anything like how it gets depicted in most fiction, I mean.
