Where I Watch Fresh Pretty Cure! Episode 2
Once again the pacing is really relaxed, giving us lots of time to get to know Miki and to follow up on what happened with Love in the last episode as she finally has some exposition dropped on her courtesy of Tart the talking ferret. It also turns out that the guy I thought was Miki's boyfriend was in fact her little brother, though I do get the impression that she lets it look like the former to keep guys from asking her out all the time.
Like Love, Miki also lives alone with her mother, the implication here being that her mom and dad are divorced and daddy took sonny-boy with him. Nothing yet mentioned on Love's dad; he could be missing, on a business trip, or even dead, but somehow I don't think it's going to be all that important to the story at large or Love's character in particular.
Eas is once again the villain to act, and there is an implication that going out and creating monsters is her responsibility among the villain trio, making me wonder what it is the other two do. Also, the soda machine monster was hilarious, what with how the people kept crying out how the stains would never get out and their eyes were stinging.
In any event, Miki's definitely got a good foundation as a character and I look forward to seeing where the show takes her.
