Fandom Secrets, why can't I quit you? Also, a meme.

Yeah, I read a certain fandom secret today, related to the icon I'm using for this post.

So, I'd like to get my mind of that, and what better way then a meme?  A meme which I hereby dub the unconventional OTP meme.

Comment on this post with a selection of your unconventional OTPs, I'll pick one, and you explain how the unconventional aspects of it make it more appealing to you.

Um . . .

Is it unconventional that I don't have /any/? ^,^;;;

No, you can't be so conventional that you are unconventional. At least, I don't think you can. Maybe you could...

Hey, have you gotten around to watching Avatar with your friend yet?

She means she doesn't have any ships at ALL, which I think is somewhat unconventional. Or maybe I'm just TOO ship-focused. ;)

None of mine are unconventional. I'm a slave to canon.

Oh I knew that; I was just trying to be playful. :D

Canon can be unconventional too you know, and fanon can be cliche in a most trite manner. For example, Tsukasa/Subaru of .Hack//Sign is very unconventional, and yet very, very canon. Whereas Zuko/Katara is fanon/crack that was ripped out of every bodice-ripping romance novel and pasted over the characters.
