Road Trips, more fun then a barrel of monkeys, dueling or otherwise (inside joke)

"Please, there has to be another room, check again!" Yuugi said, the pleading tone in his voice so strong that Anzu would have been offended if not for the fact that she hoped just as urgently the same that Yuugi wanted.

"I'm sorry, sir," The hotel clerk said with a skepticism, looking down at Yuugi who still seemed years younger then his 17, "But I'm afraid that while we do have several rooms still available, all the rooms with two beds are already occupied." The clerk then looked to Anzu, and it seemed to Yuugi as though some form of subliminal communication occurred between the two women. "Besides, I should think that this would be a blessing in disguise for you two."

"What do you mean," Anzu said, apparently not a party to the subliminal conversation of a moment ago, "How could this be a blessing of any sort?"

"Well," the clerk said with a smirk, "tension should be resolved, and you could cut the tension between you two with a knife."

Instantly Yuugi and Anzu both achieved the same deep shade of red; if not for the fact that there car had broken down, was in the shop, and it was raining cats and dogs outside, the two of them would have stormed out seeking another place to stay. As it was, Yuugi grabbed one of the available keys and began running to the appropriate room, already preparing himself to sleep on the floor. Sharing a bed was utterly unthinkable, despite the suggestions of a certain thousands of years old dead pharaoh to the contrary.
