Where I Watch Episodes 25 and 26 of Simoun

Well, in the end, Yun stays behind at the Spring, Floe and Vyura are the only ones who choose to become men, and they all see Neviril and Aeeru off as they perform the Emerald Ri Maarjon, hopping through time, And meanwhile, in the distant past, a new generation of Sybilla take flight, and Limone has grown up to be quite pretty, and now she and Dominura will take flight once more. And in the future, Morinas is pregnant with Wapourif's baby, Alti and Kaimu are living together, Paraieta is running an Orphanage, Rodoream is some manner of delegate or negotiator, and Anubatif and Guargif get in a sneak attack kiss and end up being quite the studs. And it also looks like Argentum and Plumbum are bickering, so the war's going to be starting up again before long, and it seems that Floe and Vyura will be fighting on opposite sides.

And all the while, Neviril and Aeeru are the Eternal Maidens, dancing through time. So, while there were a lot of questions left unanswered, and I would have liked more focus on the Argentum perspective, like in the episode where the Argentum pilot dies while desperately trying to get the Simoun to work, the emotional resolution is virtually pitch perfect, so I'm satisfied by and large. A very good show, and I'm glad I took the time to watch it.

Rodoreamon's hairstyle has been known to induce manly tears. Adult-Limone is quite startlingly hot (although not as hot as Vyuraf...). And was that Aira and Hanna's Simoun flying overhead at the end there?

That might have been their Simoun...I was a little more occupied trying to work out the significance of Neviril and Aeeru dancing in the abandoned wreck of the Arcus Prima.

Yes... It was only on the second time through that I actually noticed the curtains in that scene. It was all so terribly pretty.

Something particularly strange I have found in many discussions of the show is that a number of people see a resurgence of war as a good thing. While I understand that people would sympathize with the characters and their homeland, and want to see it free from the unfair peace terms, this story struck me as too strongly anti-war to consider another war a god thing.

Particularly since, IIRC, two characters get drafted into opposite sides.

Yeesh, being glad that the wars starting up again...I mean, it would be one thing to look for the silver lining and hope for a new, better peace treaty after the war, but that's just silly.

You should! It is a feast for the eyes, and the ears, and it's got plenty substance to it too!
