Where I play Kingdom Hearts, Birth by Sleep, part 1.

Well, I finally managed to kill the first boss, only took me about a dozen tries or so, figuring out how to make the most of the many, many variables involved in the combat system. I also have to say that I rather enjoy the way they handled the world of Sleeping Beauty; unlike some of the previous disney worlds, it didn't feel like you were an OC being awkwardly shoved into the story, but rather you're interacting...just outside the story I'd say. I hope that when Kingdom Hearts III eventually comes out, that they'll handle the Disney worlds in similar fashion.

Oh, as for Terra; boy's got a chip on his shoulder, that's for damn sure. I mean, Aqua gets in one good blow, and his inner darkness is already raring to get out? No wonder Maleficent was able to manipulate him so easily! I'd say that I have hopes for our Anti-hero friend, but given the inherently tragic nature of this game, I'm betting he'll be consumed by the Darkness. Shame, since otherwise he's a pretty nice chap.

Oh, gosh, yes. It takes a bit of trial and error sometimes with this battle system. I'm finding critical mode fairly easy--but I'm probably just used to it a bit more after playing proud mode for the Japanese release. (Although I end up hitting X to jump and O to attack sometimes--I blame playing Final Mix recently...)

YES. Thank you! I love how they meshed the story and worlds in this one. I mean, KHII did alright, but it felt... well, like you described. This one gives me hope that they'll be able to do so much better with the third part, whenever it may show up.

Terra, Terra, Terra. He wants so badly to be a master, and he thinks by confronting the darkness, he's learning to control it. He's much to easily swayed by words, poor guy. *pets him*

And I've pretty much got the combat down at this point. I would hope so, considering that I'm near the end of Terra's storyline, having just visited Destiny Islands! That was actually really interesting, that conversation with Riku, and Sora yelling at him for keeping secrets from him.

And I've not been disappointed!

His problem is that he doesn't want to give into his darkness, so he doesn't want to judge people too harshly, so he ends up listening to the Disney villains and pretty much gets led by the ear by Master Xehanort.
