“Ventus, could you repeat that last bit?” Aqua said, unaware of the tint of irritation in her voice.

“Huh?” Ventus knew it was never good when Aqua referred to him by his whole name, as opposed to just ‘Ven’, but for the life of him, he had no idea how what he’d just said could upset Aqua like that. “Well, I’d appeared in the castle, and there was this woman asleep in her bed, and I thought to myself that she was the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen…” And now that he was watching for it, he saw the twitch in Aqua’s eye.

“I see.” Aqua had at this point noticed her own irritation, and promptly squashed it back down. “Ven, I was just caught off guard a bit, didn’t expect you to notice something like that.” That was the reason. She was just mildly surprised. Certain alternate theories, while they could explain certain details a bit better, were not welcome.

“Ah, well, it was just the third world I’d been to, and every world had something new to offer…” Ventus’s voice trailed off as he looked at Aqua, and realized that he wasn’t so sure about Princess Aurora anymore.

Ventus, like all other boys his age, will be a bit dumb when it comes to girls. Fortunately, Aqua is patient; she has to be, with friends like Terra and Ventus!

I IS A SAP! Now I want to do something with Aqua and Terra, to keep things mixed up. What do you think?
