Science Ninja Team Gatchaman, episode 20

Dr. Nambu: We can't operate on Joe, it's much too dangerous. Instead, we'll stuff him into a giant centrifuge and spin him around until the metal fragment comes out.
Ken: THAT MAKES PERFECT SENSE!

Still, even though Joe did spend half the episode in a coma, after saving a recently orphaned animal, something Joe yelled at Jinpei about two episodes ago, he did earn some legit badass cred. Congratulations Joe; to me, you are now more than just that guy who really, really, REALLY wants to shoot the bird missiles.

The centrifuge thing was quite a wallbanger, wasn't it? Dr. Nambu is supposed to be a genius, or close to it, couldn't he have found some other way? (Though to be fair I guess he wanted Joe back on the team ASAP, since they need all 5 vehicles to fire up the GodPhoenix.)

Yeah, Joe really showed his softer side in this episode. I like when badass characters are shown to have hearts and more than just one side to them.

Granted, I'm used to science errors in Gatchaman, but this was on par with Captain Janeway trying to make her way through a crack in an Event Horizon. Writers, try to put some more thought into these things, okay?

That is very true, and it reminds me of another Joe, this time from Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, so that's a definite plus.

Incidentally, this was the last episode on the youtube channel you linked me to. So, if you could send me a link with more episodes, I would be very appreciative.

Yeah, really. I just felt bad for poor Joe. :(
