Where I Watch Fresh Pretty Cure! Episode 23

On the one hand, I am not the least bit surprised that Eas was derived from an ID number, in this case #ES-4039781, especially given everything we've seen of how Labyrinth operates, but on the other hand I still found it a pretty chilling moment, one that makes me wonder just what Wester and Souler's numbers are. And of course, the intensity of the battle between Love and Eas can't be overstated, the brutal honesty as Eas finally admits her jealousy towards Love, and the moment in which Klein cuts Eas's lifespan short.

This is of course promptly followed up on by Chiffon summoning Akarun to the scene, who's much more talkative than the other pikruns, though I somehow doubt that this aspect will stick around. More importantly though, Setsuna is reborn as Cure Passion and that is a pretty sweet outfit she's got on now.

The only real annoyance is Setsuna walking away at the end being all "Oh these hands of mine, I can't be your comrade", but at the same time it is reasonable for her to feel that way after all that she's been through and all that she's done, so I can't complain that much.

I've read some people not with amusement that in contrast to her outfit as Eas, Cure Passion is the most conservatively dressed of Pretty Cure. Don't know what to think of that.

Westar's reaction to fighting one of his former allies shall be very interesting, with him previously establishing he wants Labyrinth to work as a team.

I once came across a image manip of Akarun coming across Gokaiger's Gai while East remained dead. Didn't know whether to laugh or be disturbed.

Do you mean in terms of the franchise as a whole, or just against the Fresh Precure trio? Either way, I think I'd have to see more of Setsuna's post Precure characterization to determine what if anything to think of that.

Indeed, and he was always so crestfallen when Souler and Eas rejected him point blank.

That's definitely a weird idea, not sure why one would go with Gai beyond him being a ridiculous fanboy. It actually puts me in mind of those images of Kamen Rider Shin standing there with all the other Precures.

I think just the Fresh team, though it could apply to the whole franchise in general.

Wasn't Gai near death before he got his powers? I thought I read something like that. I guess a fan of both franchises noted this similarity and made the image.

What does Kamen Rider Shin have in common with any Pretty Cure? If it's the hilarity of a character with a reputation of gore beside girly heroines, then it should have been Amazon, lol (Who is from the goriest series and is the moe-ist, or so TVTropes tells me).

Yes he was, to the point where people kept going on about how it would turn out he was dead all along or something stupid like that. Okay, the joke makes sense now.

As I understand it, it has to do with Shin have very few if any fans and so he desperately wants to be part something, anything so he won't be so alone. Or something like that.

I don't think the Pretty Cure would exactly approve of Shin's violent methods, lol.

Don't worry, Shin. I'll watch your film while I feel the least likely to become nauseous from the rumored gore.

I love this episode so much. It's intense and well written. The conclusion to this storyline is one of my favourite parts of the series. It's just beautifully done imo.

Agreed; I think it helps that the head writer oversaw a very similar scenario in Magiranger, so he's got some experience there.
