International Women's Day

Name a female character, and I will either write a fic with a given prompt, or write meta about them.

Nico Robin meta, please?

What can I say about Nico Robin that hasn't been said before?

Well, instead of focusing on her past, I'm going to talk a bit about what I'm expecting from her future. Basically, at some point during the current arc, I'm expecting that when she arrives at the Fishman Island Poneglyph, we will also at the same time learn more of what she did and learned during the two years she was with the Revolutionaries and Dragon. I expect this to manifest as her defending the Poneglyph from being defaced by her opponent in an even more epic version of what she did during the Skypeia arc. Past that? Oda's mind works in mysterious ways.

Was that good?

Yes, it was good! I am very much looking forward to learning about the skills and knowledge she gained while with the revolutionaries. That fight in the Skypea arc was epic and if we could see her smackdown people who deface a poneglyph ... well that be amazing. But as you said, Oda's mind works in mysterious ways.

Well, could I ask for a drabble. Rue, prompt: Story's End?

Regardless of whatever Oda gives us, I am certain it will amaze.

And you may certainly ask for a drabble.

Once upon a time, there was a vamp. She had all the outward seeming of overflowing sexual confidence and had no compunctions regarding taking what she wanted. Thus, she was cast as the villain of the story, heedless of the truth of who she was, of the scared girl whose upbringing denied her the possibility of understanding what true love meant. But in due time, she defied her role in the story and allowed her true self to shine through, and by the story's end, she'd found her happy ending. Or so they say, in the little village of Gold Crown.

How was that?

That was beautiful! Thank you so much! Oh, Rue.

Suki, meta.

Or anyone you feel like doing.

To me, the interesting thing about Suki is that she is such an understated character; she doesn't have any disproportionately pronounced traits like Aang's flightyness, Ty Lee's ditziness, or Iroh's love of tea. She is just a person who, for the most part, doesn't get big "This is who this character is" moments the way the others do, so she ends up being much more balanced and subtle in her characterization, if not quite as fun and outrageous as the others.

Agreed. I always found it a shame that people who don't have "out there" personalities are often thought of by fans as having no personality.
