Where I watch Episode 18 of Simoun

Some interesting character and setting points to this episode. First of all there's the whole thing of Angulas's funeral despite Angulas having been a terrible enemy. Also, it is confirmed that after the explosion that had supposedly killed her, there weren't even any bone fragments left. Aeru and Neviril get to talking, and Aeru talks about her grandfather, and we get a flashback with tiny Aeru and her grandfather talking about how the Simoun are the key to seeing the future. Things take a more interesting turn however, when it seems that Aeru's grandfather is known amongst the high-up muckity-mucks of the Defense ministry! And this prompts them to try and split Neviril and Aeru up! Not to mention, as the name would suggest, the Simulacrum Theocracy is increasingly becoming a Theocracy in name only, interested in power to the exclusion of the sacred, violating its own tenants at whim. Also, ordering Wapourif to dismantle the Ancient Simoun that Angulas was in. It has not been easy to be Wapourif, now has it?
And in case that wasn't enough drama, Paraieta! She grows increasingly depressed over how close Nevirl and Aeru are getting, despite having been the one to have approved of the arrangement in the first place. We get a rather clever sequence in which she remembers a scene as it happened (The scene where Neviril realizes how similar Aeru and Amuria are and tries to confide in Paraieta, but Paraieta can't help her), and then how she wished it had happened (They become a pair and Paraieta takes Neviril into her protective embrace.) Late at night, Paraieta arranges for some dancing with Neviril, and then gets disturbingly aggressive, knocking Neviril down and trying to "claim" her. Fortunately, Neviril is able to get Paraieta to stop before she can get very far, but it was still a rather disturbing scene.
Personally, I've got to say that Paraieta's beginning to wear thin on me. She's just...ughh. And now everyone except for Aeru and Yun are being sent to find and destroy the giant airbase, in an act that is clearly drawing out more and more the true nature of the Simulacrum Theocracy.
