You know, now that you mention it, the racist part seem weird considering that Shyamalan is himself Indian...so why would he cast Indians as the bad guy...(unless he is a huge Fire nation fan).
Actually, I am kind of torn. On one hand I dislike pretty much everything about this movie and am glad to see none of its "justifications" work out...on the other hand, this is what average people are going to associate with the franchise. Not the awesome show, but the bad movie.Not to mention, since media executive types seem to think that live action movies are the pinnacle of art, I wonder if this failure will hurt chances to continue the Avatar franchise.
