RE: Asuka and Misawa, I think it's just showing the immaturity of Shou and Kenzan here. The writers seem to acknowledge that they're idiots, they just disagree with us about it being annoying rather than endearing or amusing. And it is really rather strange that Kenzan is so much more beat up than Shou. I...don't really know what's going on with that.
Fubuki says Asuka could learn a thing or two about love as well, and so Asuka walks up to him, picks up Pharaoh, and squeezes his tail, causing him to SCRATCH FUBUKI IN HIS BEAUTIFUL FACE! OH ASUKA, HOW COULD YOU BE SO HEARTLESS?? WITHOUT HIS FACE, FUBUKI IS NOTHING! Oh Asuka, oh Fubuki, your relationship is one of the precious few genuine enjoyable things about this show.
Agreed. And Asuka seems to just have been really pushed to her limits. The people running the school are idiots and she's stuck living with idiots (besides Misawa), too.... What sensible young woman wouldn't lose her temper? Plus, she probably knows Fubuki's weakness- was hoping to put him out of action for a little while, you know? ;P Of course, it wasn't really effective, for what can hold Fubuki down?
...It really does look like Asuka and Misawa have been stuck with babysitting duty.
Secretly, they're really saying that Juudai is so annoying that you can't forget him after dueling him once. I don't know, Asuka seems to be saying something more like...that maybe it's better that he was being controlled back then? Honestly, I'm...not sure of the writer's intent. Like...Asuka looks sad, so maybe she's thinking it's better that he was being controlled against his will rather than Darkness having actually been Fubuki...or...it doesn't seem like snark, her tone and expression don't match...
Fubuki says that Kaiser Ryou said it was dreadful to provoke Shou, though I imagine that this was more due to Shou's shrill voiced whining then any sort of badassery on his part.
XD I almost want to write crack about how Fubuki first heard this from Ryou...
No, fortunately no platypus bears. But really, I admire your dedication in paying attention to these duels. Somehow, my eyes always end up glazing over. It didn't help that I had Fubuki to distract me this time.
