I have made no secret at all of my distaste for love triangles, it is just so easy for them to turn at least one if not more members of the triangle into someone completely unlikeable. Seriously, I was just really certain that the show was building up to calling Mako out on what a tool he was being, it didn't seem like the show was on his side and yet...it was? Asami deserved so much better.
At the very least with the triangle resolved and done with next season can avoid those pitfalls and move on in a better direction.
