"Hey Anzu?" Yuugi looked up to her, like always; even now, as she was about to leave to go to New York and follow her dreams of becoming a dancer on Broadway, he was still a fair bit shorter than her.
"Yes Yuugi?" She looked upon her best friend since childhood with trepidation in her hear; not only was she headed halfway around the world, but she'd be doing so without any of her friends, without him.
"There's been something I've been wanting to say for the longest time, and if I don't say it now, I'll be kicking myself over it for the rest of my life." He felt the tension within him mounting, but he had to be strong; he was able to say goodbye to Atem, he could manage this. "I love you." He said it as quickly as possible, not wanting his throat to tighten up or his tongue to get twisted on him.
"I love you too." Anzu said with a teary smile as she leaned down slightly to give him a kiss. "And I promise, when I make it big, I'll send you a front row ticket right away." Then the airline announcer made its presence known, and Anzu rushed off, holding Yuugi's love in her heart until they could be together again.
