"Open wide my Yuugi-muffin!" Rebecca said as she stuck out her hand, holding a spoon of homemade soup up to Yuugi's mouth. For some reason, the 'Yuugi-muffin' really got to Anzu, like it was something that she wanted to use. Which was ridiculous, because she most absolutely did not have feelings for Yuugi. It was perfectly reasonable for her as a friend to be irritated with the little leach hanging off of her best friend. Even if Jounouchi and Honda acted like it was funny. Which it wasn't. She knew Yami had to be sympathetic, but how to communicate with him without tipping off Rebecca?
"Rebecca, I...umph!" Yuugi gulped in surprise as Rebecca took the opening he'd volunteered however unwittingly. Yami could plainly see the discomfort on Yuugi's face, and at the same time the fundamental politeness and friendship that denied him the ability to declare unambiguously that he did not appreciate Rebecca's offering of food. And while Yuugi would deny it out loud, the momentary glance he gave Anzu was most telling indeed. Now if only he could find some way to communicate with Anzu without tipping off Rebecca...
