Where I watch Simoun, episode 3

This time I'm going to try for a more bullet point style of post, because without the larger context of having seen the whole series, I fear that the more detailed approach of my previous posts might be missing the forest for the trees. Plus that kind of post is very time intensive too.
ANYWAY!
** A scene involving Paraied, Floe, Lapolifsman (sp?), and Morinas, where we find out that the twin-coils of the Heliacal motor control space and time, respectively, and that the imperial nation dug them up from out of the earth. Morinas says she is neither a priestess nor a soldier, and says that Paraid is the same way. And Floe asks Morinas if she's Lapolifsman's new lover.
** TITLE SCREEN, DISTANT WAR
** Aeru has some manner of wind powered music watch. Neat.
** Neville is in her room, and one of the big wigs tries to get her back into service, but Neville is still sad about Amuria dying in the first episode.
** There's a big meeting involving the other remaining members of Call Tempest, and while they're supposed to practice their Mergion at 3 PM to find out who their pairs will be, without Neville it doesn't seem like it will work. Call Tempest has fallen and can see no hope.
** EYECATCH
** The two big wigs discuss how annoying the enemy long-range cannons have become, hence the episode title "Distant War".
** A scene between glasses girl and brown haired girl with Aeru in the middle (If anyone feels like reminding me of character names, feel free to do so). Glasses Girl and her sister are not very compatible it would seem. Meanwhile, Aeru likes that there aren't a lot of people around to watch them anymore, like it was before the war.
** Morinas wags her butt in front of Lapolisfman, who I will now refer to as Lapoliff, and she visited the spring two years, four months ago. And yes, she was in a relationship with Floe.
** Neville and Paraied have a conversation about what happened with Amuria, and we get a flashback to Amuria's final moments.
** Everyone goes down into the pool to practice Mergion, but it's a right mess until Neville shows up, having decided to try and pull herself together for the good of Call Tempest.
** The enemy canon fire keeps raining down, and a damaged Simoun crash lands on deck, with two wounded Simoun Simulas coming out. The war is going to get worse before it gets better.
** Next time, the Simulas are going onto the surface, episode title "Near War"
Thoughts: Well, I'm not entirely sure what to think of all this; what sticks with me the most was the bit about Floe being in a relationship before the start of the show, and she looks so young to me. I guess that's all part of how you're really still a child until you visit the spring and become a Man or a Woman. Which for some reason is now reminding me of how the human body, when it's developing in the womb, starts female and only later develops into male if the XY chromosome pair is present. Which the writers are probably aware of.
In any event, I definitely want to know more about the Craftsman Nation; for example, do they have their own spring, or do they get their men in another way?
