cypsiman2: I still believe in my dreams (HBIC)

In the wake of Mamiina's death, many characters reach their nadirs. We have Aeru sobbing her eyes out, if only she'd been stronger Mamiina wouldn't have had to have died. Neviril stops pushing people away and takes Aeru's hand. Rodoream is in a state of pure sorrow, until Onashira arrives and brings her Mamiina's lock of hair that she'd cut just before she died, and this helps to ease the pain. Floe tries to run away from the war altogether, convinced that they're all going to die. Paraieta faces how lowly and wretched she's become, and Alti tries to get her to pull herself together for Kaimu's sake, all while being down on herself in a way that resonates very strongly with Paraieta. The funeral is canceled without any announcement, Mamiina's body shipped back to her homeland while the Defense Ministry callously continues to see the Sibylla as soldiers and nothing more. The Sibylla, joined by Vyura, take to the sky and offer up their prayers, reminding themselves and everyone else what they really are. And one priestess speaks of reforming Choir Dextra, and the "New World".

Things are definitely coming to a head, and I am intrigued.

I have to admit that the funeral ri maajons at the end of this episode very nearly made me cry. It's such a beautiful and touching goodbye.

Yun, as ever, is made of stoicism and awesome.

It was indeed.

And hey, someone's got to keep their head on straight while everyone else is falling apart.
