All right, this makes no sense. I mean, GX doesn't make sense in general, but WTF is Fubuki? Everyone else is out there watching the match, and the writers just forget about him?
So yeah, the broadcast for the duel between Kaiser Ryou and Edo Phoenix is about to begin, and everyone whose anyone is watching. And there are blimps and lines and merchandising and everything! You know, given all the noise and shit that we make in our culture over people throwing balls around and kicking them and what have you, this actually manages to feel grounded, unlike just about everything else in this show.
You know...you're right. Holographic monsters battling is more exciting than chasing a ball around anyway, even I'd bother watching sports now and then if they were like that.
Yes, he's taken, even if the writers keep forgetting his significant other. Seriously, how can they keep forgetting Fubuki's existence like this? He's basically their best character and yet he almost never shows up.
Juudai is an idiot. I mean really, how are we supposed to be impressed by a protagonist who doesn't even know the ins and outs of his own deck?
Edo's sarcasm is just very grating. I love sarcastic characters (*glomps Sokka*), but Edo just...is so bland that he's more annoying than anything else so far.
Seriously, where in the world is Fubuki? It's not even like they can just say he's watching somewhere else, he loves crowds, of course he'd be in the main room. It just rings of such lack of thought. He basically dotes on Asuka, so he should be with her much more often, too. If they were going to neglect a character, couldn't it be someone annoying like Shou instead?
Maybe they're surprised that he lost in such an anticlimactic duel? For the first loss of the undefeated, 'perfect' Kaiser Ryou, this just wasn't a very exciting or interesting duel.
