For Yugioh, I'm going to go with Shizuka/Mai; not only would this tweak many presumed assumptions, what with Jounouchi/Mai and the whole Honda/Shizuka/Otogi triangle, but it also brings in an avenue for Shizuka to become more active and involved with the story.
For Avatar, we just take the Azula/Ty Lee subtext, and make it text on the same level as the canon heterosexual couples. Thus, the dramatic impact of the events at the end of "The Boiling Lake", becomes even more so.
The GX Manga; do more with the rivalry between Asuka and Seika, and have them realize that they have more in common than they thought. And well, go from there!
Wouldn't there be some Unfortunate Implications if the only gay couple in the show consists of a violent nutjob and a ditz who is desperately starved for attention?
Hmmm...you have a point there. All right, follow up by establishing Ty Lee getting in a relationship with one of the Kyoshi Warriors at the end of the series. That should be healthy enough, I'd think.
As for Star Wars...aside from Padme's numerous female bodyguards, were there ever two women in the same scene? Because if not, I'll go ahead and make them all lesbians for each other.
