“So what now?” Aqua said as she stood hunched over in exhaustion, using the Master Keeper to support herself. She knew it wouldn’t be long before more of the heartless showed up, but with the demise of the creature she could only think of as ‘Red-Eyes’, she was certain that they’d be hesitant to take her on just yet. “Everywhere I go, it seems like just more of the same.” The Realm of Darkness, like the Realm of Light, was endless, but while the Realm of Light’s endlessness lied in its variety of worlds and peoples, the Realm of Darkness’s lay in its sheer expanse. Aqua knew this was not, could not literally be the case, but feelings of the heart were not so easy to banish.
“It’s okay though.” Aqua took out her way finder, looked at it and all the memories it embodied. “For you guys, I will find my way back.” She put it away, and resumed walking. Numerous Shadows and Neo-Shadows appeared; she gathered them all with her gravity magic, and scattered them with Tornado. “Terra, I will release your heart from Xehanort.” She would not, could not refer to that man by the title of Master as she cut her way through a number of Darkball Heartless. “And Ven…” She paused, remembered that boy’s smile, how joyous it always made her feel, “I will find my way back to you. I promise.”
