cypsiman2Love leaps into the sky, Miki glides along the ground, Buki goes into freefall, and finally, Setsuna dives into the water for her transformation sequence before leaping back into the air as the reborn Valkyrie-esq Cure Passion. Just something I felt like pointing out.
Of course, the body of the episode is about Setsuna getting to the point where she will transform to fight by way of Love and her family reaching out to Setsuna and take her out for dinner, something that Setsuna never even came close to experiencing under Labyrinth's tyranny. In this way we see more and more how difficult it is for Setsuna to accept any of that happiness for herself, to see herself as worthy of that happiness, very good well done stuff.
And then Wester shows up and he is not comic relief in the slightest anymore, he is dead serious about getting "Eas" back into Labyrinth and his monster is doing freaking bombing runs all over the place; it's very much the kind of scene given over to the hero especially in a shonen series, so it's kind of sad knowing that he cannot and must not succeed in his efforts.
Also, Setsuna's already got her weapon, so we'll not be going through an episode of her having to bond with Chiffon to power up. I was actually kind of looking forward to that, oh well.
