Madan Senki Ryukendo
Oct. 15th, 2011 07:35 pm"Born in the light, the dragon fang! Slashing the demons in the darkness! Ryukendo, Raijin!"
The city of Akebono is under attack by the demonic forces of the Jamanga which is intent on terrorizing the populace to generate "Minus Energy" in order to resurrect their dark master DaiMaOu GrenGhost. It is during one of these attacks that Kenji Narukami arrives and is chosen by the magic sword/transformation trinket GekiRyuKen to become Madan Swordsman Ryukendo and fight in defense of the city as a member of the SHOT squadron alongside Juushirou Fudou, wielder of the GoRyuGun as Madan Gunmen Ryugunoh. Oh, and every time a monster is defeated it leaves behind a MaDan Key which is then used to expand upon the arsenal of our heroes, to which the Jamanga respond by sending even stronger monsters and the cycle repeats itself anew. Later, they are also joined by Koichi Shiranami who starts off cold and anti-heroish, but over time warms up to the group and the city they defend.

On the whole, Madan Senki Ryukendo is a fun, if not overly ambitious series.
